چکیده
To evaluate the static and seismic behaviour of glulam beam-to-column connections with screwed-in threaded rods, nine specimens grouped in three were tested under both monotonic reversed cyclic loads. The failure modes, moment resistance, initial rotation stiffness, ductility, energy dissipation capacity developed investigated. results indicated that showed superior structural performance. Furthermore, introduction a steel bracket, hybrid rod connection features larger higher load-carrying capacity, remarkable better capacity. main modes included yielding brackets, as well or rupture which ductile behaviour. columns stiffness than those columns, is reasonable for bigger compressive deformation columns.

Seismic Upgrade of Beam-Column Joints with FRP Reinforcement
Many opportunities are becoming available for using composite materials to strengthen/upgrade existing reinforced concrete (RC) structures. This paper focuses on a new technique for the seismic upgrade of RC beam-column connections in gravity load-designed (GLD) frames by the application (combined or not) of FRP rods and laminates. The FRP rods provide flexural strengthening, whereas the lay-up...
متن کاملExperimental Testing of Joints for Seismic Design of Lightweight Structures. Part 1: Screwed Joints in Straps
Connections in x-braced shear walls play a crucial role in the seismic performance of lightweight structures: they should be strong enough to allow energy dissipation via plastification of the diagonal straps. An extensive experimental research on tensile screwed joints between straps is reported here. Two dominant failure modes are identified: (1) tilting and net section failure (T+NSF) and (2...
متن کاملSeismic Behavior of Prefabricated Column-Footing Connection
Results of an experimental investigation of the seismic performance of prefabricated column-footing connections are presented. Tests were conducted on six 1/4-scale prefabricated column specimens inserted into prefabricated footings in two Groups. Group-1 consisted of four specimens, which were tested under constant axial load and cyclic inelastic lateral displacements. The remaining two specim...
متن کاملR/C Existing Structures with Smooth Reinforcing Bars: Experimental Behaviour of Beam-Column Joints Subject to Cyclic Lateral Loads
Abstract: The paper illustrates the results of experimental tests performed on sub-assemblages of R/C (Reinforced Concrete) existing structures, designed only for gravity loads In order to estimate failure mechanisms and ductility properties, four internal and external R/C beam-column joints were built and tested. The specimens were built by using concrete with low strength and smooth reinforci...
متن کاملFinite element analysis of a rigid beam to column connection reinforced with channels
Abstract: This research work presents a new rigid connection constructed with channels. In order to assess its hysteresis behavior, three specimens with different cover plates and six specimens with different panel zone thickness have been considered. The energy absorbed by the connection and the behavior of the panel zone were studied during cyclic loading and compared with those of connectio...
